Under the watchful eye of an external soil expert and in close collaboration with Leefmilieu Brussel, the Brussels department of energy and the environment, we were busy last month with the removal of historic landfill waste from the site. Spread over 1,500 transports, a total of more than 25,000 m³ of contaminated soil was removed.
In addition, 20,000 m³ of soil has already been excavated for the construction of cellars and foundations. This soil will be reused on the site.
The excavation of the historic landfill will be completed by the end of January 2019.
